Easiest Sausage Peppers And Onion Recipe 

My colourful Sausage Peppers and Onions dish will brighten your dinner tonight. It's full of tasty sausages and delicate sautéed vegetables.  

– 1 pound Italian sausage link – 3 medium bell pepper – 1 large onion – 3 cloves garlic  – 2 tablespoons olive oil – 1 teaspoon dried oregano – 1 teaspoon dried basil – salt and pepper – 4 hoagie roll


Over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon olive oil to a large skillet. Add the sausages and brown on all sides for 5 minutes once hot.   


Remove the sausages and slice or leave them whole for bite-sized chunks. Add peppers, onions, and remaining olive oil to the skillet.   


Cook vegetables for 5 minutes to soften. In the skillet, add minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Cook another minute until aromatic.  


Put the sausages, peppers, and onions back in the skillet. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring periodically, until sausage is cooked and veggies are soft.  


Toast your hoagie roll gently in the oven or on a different skillet if you prefer it crispy.   


In a hoagie roll, spread a layer of sauce, then add a substantial amount of sausage, peppers and onions.
