Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe

The most incredible crispy-tender chicken paired with an incredible honey-garlic sauce!

– 1 cup vegetable oil – 1 cup flour (all-purpose) – 1 tsp. dried thyme – 1 tsp. dried oregano – 1/2 tsp. paprika – 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper – 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut crosswise in half) – kosher salt – freshly ground black pepper – 2 large eggs (beaten) – 1/2 cup honey (or more, to taste) – 4 cloves garlic (minced) – 2 Tbsp. soy sauce – 1 Tbsp. cornstarch


Medium-high heat honey, garlic, and soy sauce in a skillet. Mix 1/4 cup water and cornflour in a small bowl.

Stir mixture into saucepan for 1-2 minutes to thicken; set aside.Cook vegetable oil in a large skillet on medium-high.

Mix flour, thyme, oregano, paprika, and cayenne in a large bowl.

Season chicken with salt and pepper. Coat chicken with flour, eggs, and flour again, pressing each time.

Chicken in skillet for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy in batches of 2 or 3. Use paper towel-lined plate.
