Lemon BarEasiest Recipe Ever 

Original Lemon Bars with a shortbread crust and sweet-tart lemon curd filling. Lemon bars require only 6 ingredients.  

– ½ cup sugar – ½ pound butter  – 2 cups all-purpose flour – ⅛ teaspoon salt – 6 large egg – 3 cups sugar – 2 tablespoon lemon zest – 1 cup lemon juice  – 1 cup all-purpose flour

Ingredient

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring it extends over the sides for easy removal of bars.

Beat sugar and butter with the paddle attachment until light in the mixer bowl. Stir add flour and salt until the dough forms a ball.

Dump the crumbled crust dough into the baking dish and flatten with floured hands or the bottom of a glass or measuring cup.

Place the crust in the oven for 20 minutes until the edges faintly brown. Cool it and keep the oven on.

Whisk the filling ingredients. Pour on chilled crust. Return the pan to the oven for 30–35 minutes to solidify the filling.

Cool it at room temp. Prepare triangles or squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
